The Forth Railway Bridge spans the Firth of Forth at Queensferry, north-west of Edinburgh, Scotland`s capital. This magnificent bridge was built by William Arrol to carry a railway line high over the Forth. It took seven years to build and was finished in 1890. It is recognised as a world-class engineering achievement and it is one of the great symbols of Scotland. |
